Disney at Home. Joffrey’s Coffee

Hey friends and welcome to another edition of your favorite way to escape into the magic of Disney, no matter how far you may be. I hope you have enjoyed bringing the Disney magic back home and in this blog that is what we strive for. This post is going to bring Disney back to your homes in a more real application. As you have come to know, I bring Disney into my everyday life. Some are in big ways and some are in some smaller ways, but they all add that magic and joy into a normal day. Now, some might say, leave the magic for Disney or it will lose its magic. But my answer is, there is no right or wrong way to do Disney. If you want to bring it home, I say, BRING IT HOME. We have brought so many things home to give us that extra magic we all love. Something that helps is the multiple websites, streaming services, music, and so much more that aids in your ability to bring Disney into your everyday life. The amount of services that are out there to bring Disney to you are endless so we will let you all in on some that are maybe not as well known. One I just learned about this year has changed how I see mornings. Walking into the park, it is easy to hit up the Starbucks. Now, this is a great feature but let me tell you, I sometimes pass it up. I head to a place instead that makes me feel like Disney is complete. Joffrey’s Coffee is where I get my morning started. I like their coffee and the lines are not as crowded as Starbucks which is an added bonus. These are in each of the parks and the coffee always hits the spot. While at the resorts, they also include the coffee in the rooms with the in room coffee pot. It is safe to say, while at Disney, you can get this coffee. This was something I always kept to the trips but, recently I have been missing the land of the mouse a bit more so I decided to look it all up to see if I could get it at home.

Joffrey’s Coffee

My search took me to their website, which was easy to find. Check out: https://joffreys.com and explore all of the coffee options. I searched around a lot because I guess I just did not realize how much they had to offer. Before long I made it to the Disney Parks and Resorts Collection that they have. Now, I have had some of their roasts and blends at the parks but I never expected to see some of my favorites or some of the options they had to offer. Simply put, they have some of your favorite blends from Disney World in Florida, Disneyland in California, and various Disney Resorts around the country at Disney Vacation Club locations. This was an awesome find because you can drink your favorite coffees at home and feel like you are starting your morning from any of those locations. I looked through all of them they had to offer and decided to choose a couple for my first order. I have had the Kona Blend that they serve at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort, so that was my first choice. Second choice I chose based on my want to be at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. The order was completed by the Sanaa Blend. The process was super easy and when I first logged onto the website I entered my email to get a 25% off coupon. The coffee shipped promptly and before I knew it, the coffee was at my door. I could not wait to try them so the next morning I opened one and brewed a nice pot of coffee, Disney Style!

Kona Blend

First, we tried the Kona Blend. The descriptions state it is a medium roast coffee with “Hawaiian beans to enhance the natural flavor always present in Kona Coffee. Now, I am not the best coffee maker in the world, so I followed some instructions on the side but modified it a bit based on how many grounds were being used. They do have the option to buy them with the full bean, but for ease, I bought the grounds. The fragrance of the coffee was strong and quite honestly, amazing. The coffee was finished and I found myself indulging in a cup of Kona heaven. The familiar taste at home had me wanting to order some Tonga Toast. The coffee is so crisp and not too strong which is a really nice balance. I cannot wait to try this in the French Press and really feel like I am at the Kona Cafe with the amazing coffee service for two. Now, the price of this bag of coffee is $19.99 which is pricey but with the 25% off coupon and the novelty of the amazing blend, it is one I would order again for special occasions.

Sanaa Blend

My second choice, I never had before so I was very excited to try. This is one of Abby and I’s favorite restaurants at Disney, so naturally, we had to order it. We both had been missing Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge so this was an easy buy. Another medium roast coffee, this one has “Kenya AA beans that offer bright acidity, great aroma, and a dry winey aftertaste.” Otherwise known as an “oaky afterbirth” – Michael Scott. Finally got an Office reference in a Disney blog (phew). In all seriousness, this coffee smells great. Just like above, I prepared it in a similar way and before long I was taken into a whole new coffee experience from the Kona Blend. The freshness of the African Coffee Beans really comes out. The aroma is one that has you thinking you are in a coffee shop and it was really good. Glad we gave this one a try and cannot wait to try it at the restaurant sometime. This bag comes in at $14.99 and just like above, to me it is for special coffee orders only. With that said, I am happy we got this.

Overall, these coffees are very good. I would definitely recommend them if you are 1. Missing Disney, 2. A coffee lover, 3. Looking to try a lot of new coffee blends. All of the varieties have you trying different beans and roasts to give you a new coffee experience each and every time. I am not one to buy expensive coffee. I usually try to find a good deal. These come in as a higher price, but to me they are worth it. It brings you into the magic of Disney with a nice subtle touch to start your mornings. Also, the quality and the nature of the coffee beans is better and you can tell. Have you ever had Joffrey’s Coffee while at Disney? Have you tried either one of these blends above?
