Fab Five Walt Disney Quotes To Make You Smile

Hello readers and welcome back! It brings me great joy to write these posts for you guys, so hopefully you are enjoying them just as much. This week, the post is sure to bring a smile to your face. It brought a lot of joy to my face when the idea was brainstormed by my amazing wife, Abby. Sometimes you just have to remember some words to live by in tough times and these always seem to work for me. Walt Disney was and still is such an inspiration to many people. I would be lying if I told you I did not look up any Walt Disney Quotes on the norm. Whether they be motivational, funny, inspirational, or feel good, Walt had some quotes that remind you of simpler times. He also had some quotes to remind us the world is ever changing. Wrap all of these up and you have some quotes that make you smile as you remember the man’s legacy. Some of them are well known and hang in most Disney fans’ homes. But some are more buried deep into the archives and words to live by. We have a couple of them hanging in our home, but the ones that really make me smile I have written in planners, white boards at work, or just kept in my back pocket for a feel good moment during my day. My favorite Walt Disney quotes always help me smile and will continue to make Disney fans’ smile forever. Without further rambling, let’s dive into them!

5. “A man should never neglect his family for business.”

I love this Disney quote. I have always been brought up with family morals ranking number one. Walt’s quote here reminds me to keep your family as priority number one. With that, how can you not feel joy and happiness? If you keep your family number one, you are rich with love and support. This quote also makes me smile because it reminds me of what my Papa taught my family. You cannot choose your family, they are with you no matter what. That is vastly different from any job you can attain.

4. “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”

I have a friend who always says, “if you don’t like it, do something about it.” Well, Walt hit that one right on the head as well. I love this quote because Walt addresses the fact that if you want to start to do something, stop talking about it, just do something about it. That hit me hard when I decided to make this blog. I had been talking about doing it for about a year and a half with only verbal signs. Well, on an October day last year I finally just made it. Found a name, logo, and premise for Muting and The Mouse. Walt’s quote lit a fire in me and now you get to read all my Disney thoughts.

3. “You’re dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway.”

Now this quote always makes me laugh, as well as remember the simpler things in life. Adults are kids. Look at the trends in life. Adults show their kids what they enjoyed as a child. Star Wars, Disney, Marvel, etc. the lists go on and on. Walt recognized this and made his parks and movies for adults and children alike. That is the key, you have to remember the child-like aspects of life. Walt knew he had to make sure the adults would want to be there just as much as kids. Well, I am living proof. As an adult I am a Disney-a-holic and I will always show my future kids. This is because Disney has done a great job of tearing at the adult mindset by reminding them to be a kid. This love and use of the imagination is what keeps Disney going strong.

2. “When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable.”

This next quote is very inspirational and I make sure to look at it in any brainstorm session. Believing in something is key, but if you do not believe and trust it all the way, it is destined to fail. You have to believe in it all the way as stated above without any doubt for it to succeed. The idea and brainstorm is important. When you have an idea, the execution becomes crucial and to me, this makes me smile because it challenges you to believe in yourself. You are the only one who can make or break YOUR life situation whether that be at work, at home, or personally. Put forth your best effort from the idea to the execution to become the best version of yourself.

1.“Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.”

Okay, how could I not choose this one to be the number one quote. I love this quote more than the rest of them for a couple of reasons. Now, maybe unpopular, but I do not mind changing at Disney at all. Do I get sad when favorite things change, yes. However, I love the innovative and imaginative changes Disney makes. It means they are living up to some of these five quotes above. To me, the change challenges all to make the best they can. It challenges adults to use their imagination that is so often lost as they age. Disney will always change and that is a good thing!

Well, there you have it. These are my fab five Walt Disney quotes that will make any Disney fanatic smile. Walt was a man of many quotes but these help me get through tough times, good times, and really any time for that matter. It is fun to see what kind of man Walt was through quotes ever since he was taken from us way too soon. What are your favorite Walt Disney quotes? Share them in the comments below and let’s help each other escape into the magic, no matter how far! Until next week, stay safe and continue to be magical!

  1. One of my absolute favorite Walt Disney quotes is “Worry is a waste of imagination.” I am frequently guilty of worrying about things that I cannot control and more so worrying about things that might not even happen! When I saw this quote from Walt it immediately set off a lightbulb. He is so right with this quote. When you worry about things that might not even happen you are wasting imagination by creating scenarios that probably aren’t even going to come to fruition! Now I try to tell myself that instead of worrying about things that may never be I’ll use that energy towards things that can be. I’m not always successful, but hey, at least I’m trying!

Another quote that I’ve always loved is “Whatever you do, do it well. Do it so well that when people see you do it, they will want to come back and see you do it again, and they will want to bring others and show them how well you do what you do.” I think that people taking pride in anything they do isn’t as prevalent as it once was. When you take pride in anything that you do be it your job, a hobby, taking care of your home, whatever it is you are just going to be even more successful since you are going to put more energy and effort into it. I think this quote goes hand in hand with your second Walt quote.
