Our Disney Wedding

Welcome back everyone to Muting and The Mouse! I hope you had a splendid Thanksgiving and were able to enjoy family. We are extra thankful this year. We finally had our wedding reception. We had two magical Disney vacations. Finally, we are welcoming a baby Muting next year! Let me tell you, life is a blessing and I am happy to share in it with each and everyone of you readers. I do want to share a part of our life with all of you in this post. That being our wedding reception! We had Disney at our wedding (and who is surprised). Abby and I talked at length on how to include Disney in our day. It started out with subtle touches. I fought for in your face Disney. We did both! (LOL). From the cake, to my socks, to music; our day was filled with magic. This is going to be more of a picture tour and less reading, but I had to share this special day to all of you. Now, I do realize some of you were there and know what it looked like, but I have to share this with everyone. Whether it is your first time seeing some of the photos, or your 1,000th time seeing them, like us, enjoy!

Before we dive into our awesome photos, some back story. We did decide we wanted Disney to be involved in our wedding early on. Abby and I knew we wanted subtle Disney touches but as mentioned I wanted some in your face Disney. Both were had and we came up with ideas for Disney decorations. This is where our family came in clutch. My mother-in-law offered to make all of the center pieces. I mean she has a knack for that so we were thrilled. Abby gave her the parameters and off she went. Below you will see stunning pictures of most of the center pieces. These all turned out great. From Disney movies, to Disney parks, to Disney themes; all of the center pieces created a fun guessing game for guests at the tables! Guests wanted to see them all and tried to guess what the center pieces were. From there, our guest book had a special Disney touch from the movie UP! These were just some of the fun ways at at receptions to create some more Disney magic! I wore some Disney accents. Abby wore some Disney jewelry. We even wore Mickey Ears at our first wedding (during covid)! The cake topper was Mickey and Minnie. Our first dance was to a Disney song. The wedding party exited our vowel renewal to Happily Ever After. Disney was in the air and before we knew it, it was more in your face Disney than we had planned. Abby and I would not change a thing about it! After all, live the magic!

Lastly, before our picture tour for our Disney Wedding. I have to send out a HUGE thank you to our wedding photographers for capturing our special day. Now and Then Photography out did themselves. This sister duo are some of our favorite people and their pictures of the day, the decor, and the antics are stunning. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are so thankful you captured these so we can share with our readers! So without further ado, lets escape into the magic of Disney at our wedding!

First up, from our first wedding date during covid we have some classic Disney pictures. Mickey Ears, car signs, and Mickey and Minnie masks had to be featured.

Next up, we have some photos of the details of the day. Dress pictures, accessory pictures, sock pictures, and our flower girls flowers had to have Disney in them. I mean come on, these are some of the parts that were meant to be more subtle.

Moving onto the vow renewal part of the evening, we exited to Happily Ever After. From there the cake had Mickey and Minnie atop with pearls shaped into three to mimic Mickey Mouse. Finally, our first Dance was the ballad version of Step into the Magic from Disneyland’s fireworks.

Finally, the centerpieces for the tables. My mother-in-law out did herself. Details of the decor for the foyer, the tables, and the party favors are found below. We even ended the night by singing “now it’s time to say goodbye.”

Well if you made it this far, thank you for escaping into the magic! See ya next post! We hope you comment with us and try to guess the tables and I hope you enjoyed our special day!
